Delivering supply chain resilience for Shell 

In the first quarter of 2021, Bureau Veritas completed a successful pilot project of Supply-R for Shell, the global group of energy and petrochemical companies.

Supply-R is a digital risk management solution from Bureau Veritas that enhances the responsiveness and reliability of supply chains distribution. This Digital platform is designed to support business continuity and assess supply chain resilience.

Deploying Supply-R step-by-step for Shell enabled our team to customise the solution and develop the dashboards needed to drive efficiency for both operational teams and executive management. It also confirmed the potential of the Supply-R solution.

We defined Shell’s specific risk profile and audit checklist, before conducting independent on-site verification at factories in different countries across several supplied product lines. The pilot resulted in a tailored risk index and an online dashboard to visualise the risk profiles of each supplier and provide an overall rating via a resilience index.
