GREEN HOUSE GAS REPORTING

What is GHG Reporting?

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting is the process of measuring, analysing and disclosing emissions generated across an organisation’s operations and value chain.

It includes:

•    Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources
•    Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, steam or cooling
•    Scope 3: Value-chain emissions such as purchased goods, logistics, business travel and product use

Effective GHG reporting provides a clear understanding of carbon impact and forms the foundation for target-setting, decarbonisation and credible disclosure.

Why Calculate Your Emissions?

Calculating emissions is a critical first step on the journey to net zero. It enables organisations to:

•    Establish a credible emissions baseline
•    Understand decarbonisation challenges and priorities
•    Meet regulatory, customer and investor expectations
•    Support reporting to frameworks such as CDP
•    Respond to tendering, financing and supply-chain data requests
•    Demonstrate transparency and responsible business practice

Measuring emissions also helps identify inefficiencies, prioritise high-impact actions and track progress over time.

BENEFITS

  • Calculate carbon emissions more accurately
  • Identify areas for improvement
