Join Our Webinar: Noise Exposure in The Workplace

Apr. 12 2021

Research shows that 17,000 workers were diagnosed with work-related hearing problems in the UK between 2017 and 2020 and 17% of adults aged 20–69 years have suffered permanent damage to their hearing from excessive exposure to noise.

To help protect employees from noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) or other associated illnesses, the Control of Noise at Work regulations (CoNAWR) set maximum levels for daily personal noise exposure. The regulations place responsibilities on employers to eliminate or reduce the risk to health and safety from noise at work – and failure to meet those responsibilities could lead to enforcement action from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Support from acoustics experts

Bureau Veritas has a specialist Acoustics and Vibration team, working with employers of all sizes to help overcome their challenges relating to workplace noise. As part of this service, we’re hosting a new webinar which focuses on the process, benefits and requirements of noise assessments in the workplace.

Join Paul Johnson, senior consultant in the Acoustics and Vibration team at Bureau Veritas, on 29th of April (11am – 12pm), for our free webinar.

Paul said: “Noise assessments are vital in some industries and we’re already working with and advising large, multi-national companies on all aspects of noise and vibration to help protect employers and their employees from overexposure.

“This webinar will draw on some of the key aspects, from the process involved in a noise assessment, to the benefits available for both employers and their workforce. We’ll be covering the importance of monitoring workplace noise, an overview of current regulations and responsibilities and how to check if a noise assessment is required.

“There will also be an opportunity to learn about Bureau Veritas acoustics services and to ask questions.”
