An Introduction to Allergens & Natasha's Law: Book now

Aug. 5 2021

From 1st October, the requirements for prepacked for direct sale (PPDS) food labelling will change in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Are you ready for Natasha’s Law? Do you and your employees recognise the requirements and the potential risks to your business?

With the new regulations less than two months away, our Chartered Environmental Health Practitioners are working with food businesses to help prepare for the changes. As part of this, we’ve launched a new eLearning course - An Introduction to Allergens & Natasha's Law.

Don’t miss out on this brand-new course, developed and delivered by Bureau Veritas experts. Meet your business requirements with ease and boost your team’s self-development. Suitable for any staff member who is involved in the sale of pre-packed for direct sale food.

Our 30-minute eLearning course overview:

  • A refresher on the 14 legal allergens
  • Provides a focus on prepacked for direct sale foods in line with the new regulations through definitions and product examples.
  • Covers the requirements of Natasha’s Law from October 1st and produce compliant prepacked for direct sale labels.
  • The course engages the learner through interactive quizzes and games throughout the eLearning.
  • Once complete all learners receive Bureau Veritas certificate of completion

Oliver Dodd, UK training manager for Bureau Veritas, said: “This is a vitally important new course that will help organisations to understand and meet their requirements under Natasha’s Law.

“The new law will bring significant changes in food labelling and it’s important that employees understand key points, including the food types included in the list of 14 legally recognised allergens. We’ll also be covering the new requirements, the penalties or risks of incorrect labelling information, as well as the details for how information must be provided on labels to comply.

“We’re delighted to be able to launch the course and would urge organisations to book quickly, particularly with Natasha’s Law on the horizon.”
