Bureau Veritas

at ROSPA Awards

Apr. 3 2020

Bureau Veritas UK is delighted to have been awarded two prestigious Gold Medal awards in the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards for the eighth consecutive year.

Once again we have achieved the Gold Medal award in two categories; Occupational Health & Safety and Fleet Safety, recognising excellence across occupational health & safety and occupational road risk. The awards will be presented to the Bureau Veritas team in Birmingham, at one of three prestigious gala evenings hosted by RoSPA.

The RoSPA Health & Safety Awards were established in 1956 and are internationally recognised as the most sought-after accolade in the health and safety industry. They offer organisations a prime opportunity to benchmark safety performance year on year and ensure consistent performance between sites.

Winners are required to demonstrate evidence of their management system processes, including how these have been implemented into the organisation to ensure safety performance.

Carol Robinson, Health, Safety and Environment Manager at Bureau Veritas, said: This recognition is a real testament to how hard our dedicated people work every day in creating and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across the organisation and I’d like to thank our UK team for their contribution.”

“We’re delighted and extremely proud to be recognised by RoSPA once again and we will continue to work hard to maintain those same standards going forward.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations around the world, making it one of the most sought-after global accolades in health and safety.

“RoSPA wants every employee, wherever they are, to work safe in the knowledge that they will be going home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day. The RoSPA Award winners are vital to help achieve this goal, as by entering they are driving up standards and setting new benchmarks for organisations everywhere. Currently, around 7million people are directly impacted by the RoSPA Awards, but the scheme’s influence is even wider.”
