Bureau Veritas UK and USA teams combine to deliver condition survey solution

Aug. 19 2020

Bureau Veritas continues to demonstrate the strength of its global presence and capability as the UK team worked together with colleagues in the United States to deliver a combined solution for a valued client in USA.

Bringing together local resources with global expertise, our Building Control team in the UK stepped in to support American colleagues who were unable to travel to undertake property condition surveys due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Instead, Building Control specialists in the UK, led by associate director Alan Adair, gathered onsite data for two sites before writing a draft condition survey and sending to colleagues in the Bureau Veritas office in Philadelphia. The full report was then prepared by Bureau Veritas USA and delivered to the client, ahead of a potential purchase of both sites.

Greg Bailey, Director, Architectural & Engineering Division for Bureau Veritas North America, said: “This was our first project working together with the UK team and we are delighted with the results.  It is fantastic to be able to draw on their expertise within our global offering and we look forward to the next project working collaboratively with international colleagues.”

Alan Adair said: “One of our biggest strengths at Bureau Veritas is our size as a global leader, with specialist teams operating worldwide, working together where necessary to deliver an enhanced solution. However, this also demonstrates the need for local expertise as part of that offer.

“With UK and American teams working together, namely Dave Hartill in the UK team leading on the onsite requirements, we were able to deliver a more effective, more cost-efficient and viable solution, even in the midst of a global pandemic. It’s testament to the dynamic way in which we work, and the specialist expertise of our local teams across the world.”
