Bureau Veritas to strengthen its Buildings & Infrastructure sustainability capabilities in the United Kingdom

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry, announces the acquisitions of Verte and Sustainable Construction Services (SCS), two UK sustainability consultancies specializing in green building certification, net zero carbon advisory, and energy efficiency services for the construction and real estate sectors. 

These acquisitions align with Bureau Veritas’ LEAP | 28 strategy to accelerate growth in high-value sustainability services and to reinforce its leadership position in the Buildings & Infrastructure (B&I) market in the United Kingdom.

Verte and SCS have built strong reputations in delivering Green Building Certifications (primarily BREEAM), energy performance assessments, embodied carbon analysis, net zero carbon strategies, and energy modelling services. Together, the two companies bring more than 40 sustainability experts and complementary geographic coverage across Greater London, the Southeast, and the Southwest (Bristol).

Respectively founded in 2008 and 2013, Sustainable Construction Services (SCS) and Verte have recently achieved outstanding growth in recent years. They serve a diversified base of clients including investors, developers, project managers, architects, planning consultants, building services engineers, and main contractors.

The transaction will create significant value by adding a new set of services and expertise to Bureau Veritas’ Buildings and Infrastructure Product Line. The acquisitions further strengthen Bureau Veritas’ ability to support clients in delivering climate resilient, energy-efficient, low-carbon, and compliant assets across the UK real estate and infrastructure markets.
