Bureau Veritas Secures Strategic Long-Term Framework Agreements Across Sizewell C and EDF UK Nuclear Portfolio

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, has been awarded multiple long-term Professional Services Agreement (PSA) frameworks with the EDF Nuclear entities (Nuclear Operations and Hinkley Point C) as well as Sizewell C, strengthening its position as a strategic assurance partner to the UK nuclear sector.

The awards span two key EDF UK entities: Hinkley Point C (HPC), and Nuclear Operations (NO), and form part of a coordinated procurement across the EDF Nuclear Family, and Sizewell C.  The agreements will support both nuclear new build programmes and the operational fleet, ensuring access to critical skills and capabilities across the nuclear lifecycle.

A Step Change in Strategic Partnership

The frameworks represent a step change in our technical coverage – expanding from targeted disciplines into a broad, multi-disciplinary capability aligned to EDF’s programme needs:

• Multi-entity coverage across both nuclear new build and generation
• An order of magnitude expansion in our technical footprint 
• Alignment to a single, integrated EDF Nuclear Family delivery model with long term stability

Bureau Veritas’ expanded role will support:

• Engineering and technical services across multiple disciplines

Supporting the Full Nuclear Lifecycle

The framework agreements position Bureau Veritas at the heart of a defining period for UK nuclear:

• Delivery and transition to generation at Hinkley Point C
• Development of the Sizewell C programme
• Continued support to operation and transition to defueling of the AGR fleet
