BUREAU VERITAS NAMED AS A KEY PARTNER IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EAST ANGLIA THREE OFFSHORE WINDFARM

Jun. 23 2023

Bureau Veritas, a world-leader in testing, inspection and certification, has been awarded a major contract to provide Integrated Site Services for ScottishPower Renewables’ East Anglia THREE – one of the UK’s largest offshore windfarm projects.

The multi-million-pound contract will see Bureau Veritas provide quality, fabrication management and inspection services, representing ScottishPower Renewables within a significant portion of the project supply chain.

Bureau Veritas will also be responsible for overseeing the quality control of the construction works as the project moves into the offshore installation phase.

East Anglia THREE is the second of ScottishPower Renewables’ offshore windfarm projects to be developed within the region. It is located 69km off the Suffolk coast and – when complete – will power over one million homes in the UK. It will cover an area of more than 305km² and generate up to 1,400MW of power via 95 14.7MW wind turbines.
