BUREAU VERITAS MARINE & OFFSHORE TEAM SUPPORTING COP26 EVENTS

Nov. 1 2021

This week sees the start of the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow, and we are excited to see that Bureau Veritas is supporting a number of the key events.

A delegation from our renowned Marine & Offshore team will be in Glasgow for the conference, which runs from Sunday 31st October to Friday 12th November. As part of their involvement, Bureau Veritas is confirmed as a partner for three key events which will help shine the spotlight on the need for a more sustainable shipping industry; SHIPZERO26, Shaping the Future of Shipping after COP26.

SHIPZERO26 by the Zero Emissions Ship Technology Association (ZESTAs), is billed as a disruptive and interactive event, and ‘the first shipping event to not even entertain a fume of fossil fuels'.

Shaping the Future of Shipping, coordinated by the International Chamber of Shipping, Matthieu de Tugny will take part in the panel discussion “Shaping the Financing Outlook Required to Catalyse Shipping’s Future”. Also attended by Nick Brown, Loic Aballea, Paul Delouche and Ulrich Dan Frorup from the Marine and Offshore team.

Bureau Veritas will also be a Lead Partner of Shipping After COP26 by the Malin Group, where Nick Brown, Alex Beverley and Ulrich Dan Frorup will be in attendance.
