ADDRESSING ACCESSIBILITY & SUSTAINABILITY IN THE LONDON PLAN: A NEW BUREAU VERITAS WEBINAR SERIES

Oct. 5 2021

Over six months on from its launch, the London Plan sets new standards and requirements for those involved in the construction of new buildings in the capital. From accessibility and sustainability, to fire safety, noise and air quality, the plan brought a number of critical changes which are now required for new construction projects in London.

With an expert team of construction professionals, working with clients to support projects through all development stages from planning to operation, we are committed to educating and informing the industry. And as part of this, we are hosting a new webinar to demystify the London Plan.

Support from industry experts

We have brought together a number of specialists across our Construction Consultancy, Sustainability and Environmental for a new webinar series. The series will have two parts; part one will be hosted by Andy Lowe, director of Building Control at Bureau Veritas, who will be exploring the detail of The London Plan, and what it means for the construction industry. The second session will bring together a number of our specialist across the business to deliver a panellist discussion around what the London Plan expects and how organisations should work to achieve its success.

Andy Lowe said: “The London Plan was launched in March and with the Building Safety Bill now going through Parliament and the Gateway One (Planning) now in operation, it’s an important time for the construction industry.

“We’ll be using our position at the forefront of safety and regulatory development to help identify the requirements, explore the changes and support our clients in achieving safety and compliance. All with particular focus on the accessibility and sustainability aspects of the plan.”
