12 MONTHS ON: A NATASHA’S LAW REFRESHER FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY

One year on from the introduction of Natasha’s Law, Bureau Veritas is reminding food businesses of the allergen changes for ‘Prepacked for Direct Sale’ (PPDS) food with our comprehensive guide to the regulations.
Natasha’s Law and allergen management remains top of the agenda of Local Authority enforcement officers who work within the food industry, The Food Standards Agency (FSA) have announced a £1.5m grant to help local authorities enforce and implement the new food labelling laws.
This includes all requirements introduced by Natasha’s Law in October 2021, how to identify food which is prepacked for direct sale, and the 14 legal allergens. It is available to download for free, together with a business check list and daily spot checks to support businesses in achieving compliance with Natasha’s Law.
