CLIENT CHALLENGE

A UK-based manufacturer of plastic wrapping products for food packaging recognised a significant opportunity to modernise their safety management systems and elevate workplace protection standards. As safety standards have evolved over time, shifting from accepting administrative controls towards stricter implementation of engineering controls such as guarding and presence detection systems, the company identified the potential to transform their approach to equipment safety.

With most equipment pre-dating CE/UKCA conformity requirements, the organisation saw an opportunity to proactively enhance their internal machinery safety management through comprehensive review and improvement processes.

Moving beyond traditional "that's how we've always done it" approaches, the client sought to partner with high-competency experts who could provide impartial and independent support for their equipment management systems. This strategic initiative aimed to ensure full compliance with legislative requirements whilst creating a safer, more secure workplace environment that would protect employees and demonstrate industry leadership in safety excellence.
