The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative is a non-profit organisation which promotes responsible sourcing practices throughout the pharmaceutical industry to improve the social, health, safety and environmental sustainability of supply chains. It sets five key principles for responsible business conduct; ethics, human rights and labour, health, safety and environment and management systems.

Each of these areas outline best practice for any businesses operating within the pharmaceutical supply chain and an audit framework has been developed to assess supplier’s performance against the principles, international standards and regulatory requirements.
