Bureau Veritas recognised as Top Employer for 8th consecutive year

Jan. 30 2020

Bureau Veritas has been officially recognised as a Top Employer 2020 in the United Kingdom by Top Employers Institute, for the eighth year running.

The accolade means Bureau Veritas is one of few UK organisations to be certified for its exceptional standard of employee conditions for eight consecutive years.

Acknowledging Bureau Veritas’ commitment to its employees, the annual international research undertaken by the Top Employers Institute awards leading employers that dedicate themselves to providing the very best working environment for employees through their progressive ‘people-first’ HR practices.

To achieve the Top Employer status, businesses are assessed against criteria such as talent strategy, learning and development, leadership development, compensation and benefits. Crucial to the Top Employers process is that participating companies must complete an extensive HR Best Practices Survey, which is independently audited.

Commenting on what it means to be a Top Employer, Katie White, HR Director at Bureau Veritas, said: “We’re delighted to once again be recognised – and for the eighth year running - as a one of the UK’s top employers. It is great to get feedback on the progress we are making at Bureau Veritas and we want to continue to provide the best working environment possible for our employees.  We have launched a new Employee Survey this year which is helping us to understand even more what employees love about working here and what more we could further improve.  I am excited about 2020 as we continue to embed the new Values and create more exciting development opportunities for our people. We want to create an environment where all employees at Bureau Veritas can leave their mark for our clients and society.”

David Plink, CEO at Top Employer Institute, says, “To become recognised as a Top Employer, an organisation will have to prove that the implementation of their people strategies enriches the world of work of their employees.  The certified participants are a shining example of a dedication to people practices as they continuously commit to empowering their employees for a better world of work. Congratulations!’
