Product Conformity assessment

PRODUCT CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT AND APPROVED BODY SERVICES

Ensure that your products are compliant with UK regulations and European Directives

CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE

As a designer or manufacturer, you must take steps to ensure that your products are safe and compliant. For many products, you as a manufacturer or your authorised representative (the Responsible Person) can self-certify. For products where the self-certification route is not applicable, you will require independent verification of the products’ compliance (and in some cases your quality and manufacturing system) by a UKAS Accredited Verification Body No. 0432, Approved Body No. 0041.

The product conformity verification process may include one or a combination of the following activities:

  • Design verification
