WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AVIVA TO ENSURE EV CHARGING SAFETY

01.25.23

By the start of 2023 there were more than one million Electric Vehicles (EVs) registered in the UK1 and the sale of new cars and vans with petrol and diesel engines will be banned from 2030. In addition, the Government has set a target to increase the number of public charging points to at least 300,000 by the same date in a bid to boost the take-up of EVs.2

With more businesses installing and managing EV charging points to meet demand, the safe installation, functionality and regular maintenance of those charging points has become increasingly important.

Bureau Veritas supports asset owners including contractors, car park operators, local authorities and forecourt operators to manage their obligations with testing and inspection services for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS).

We partnered with Aviva to help offer such services as an added benefit for customers of the insurer’s EV Charging Point insurance product, helping to ensure that EVCSs are compliant, always available and fully functional for end customers.
