ENSURING SAFETY AND QUALITY IN the NUCLEAR industry

The Nuclear Industry is a complex and constantly evolving industry. It is subject to high-level scrutiny from governmental and non-governmental organisations, through numerous regulations and increasing pressure to ensure site and activity safety.

YOUR CHALLENGES

In large and complex nuclear plant projects, mastering nuclear quality and safety levels for all installation and equipment challenges is a key success factor. Correctly interacting with nuclear authorities, industrial manufacturers, civil engineers or subcontractors and working in collaboration with utility companies is vital to the project. That's why many operators turn to an independent organisation such as Bureau Veritas for support.

HOW BV SUPPORTS THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY

OUR SERVICES COVER THE ENTIRE PROJECT LIFE CYCLE:
  • Project development
  • Design and procurement
  • Construction
  • Commissioning
  • Operation
  • Dismantling

With a vast portfolio of nuclear experience and expertise, we consolidate your know-how to provide a complete risk and compliance solution in accordance with international and local regulations, throughout the lifetime of your assets.

REMOTE NUCLEAR PLANT INSPECTIONS

As part of our innovative way of working with our clients, we offer clients remote supervision field audits using Realwear smartglasses. A key benefit to this offer is that it saves travel time, driving CO2 savings and ultimately reducing costs for clients through reduced travel, expenses and manhours.

Using Realwear smartglasses, our local inspection engineer can ensure full compliance of all tasks performed within the defined scope of the assessment, relaying live footage with two-way interaction to an inspector from the client’s internal inspection team watching on a PC.

This service helps to ensure internal and external standards are met, even if client inspection engineers are unable to travel internationally due to restrictions.
