Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services UK reorganisation helps customers increase speed to market for new products

Responding to calls from its global manufacturing customer base for support in managing increasing legislative and regulatory pressures, the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (CPS) division has enhanced its offering and reorganised its teams to help its customers manage legal compliance, streamline product development and reduce cost, as well as increase speed to market for new products

The reorganisation, and the development of a dedicated executive team, follows ongoing increases in global legislation governing manufacturing, product safety and compliance, and anticipates the escalation of this over the coming years.  The enhanced service offering, led by Jonathon Thackray in the UK, draws from existing Bureau Veritas expertise but more easily allows retailers, distributors and manufacturers to keep up-to-date with changing market and regulatory requirements.  It also benefits customers by providing access to expert advice on how to manage sourcing and compliance challenges.

Jonathon Thackray, Bureau Veritas said: “With the increase in European manufacturing legislation such as the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation and the Ecodesign for Energy Using Products (EUP)Directive  posing increased challenges for companies making or selling consumer products, along with other global legislation, our new service and partnership approach will support our customers in keeping on top of what is required to remain compliant.

“The new process will also help our customers to better understand the legal requirements for new products in different markets, speeding up the product development process, reducing overall costs and getting the product to market faster as a result of a more informed and visible supply chain.”

In addition to celebrate the new focus of Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, and to help highlight the passion and expertise of the team both locally and globally, a new video micro-site has been launched in the UK.  The site provides a showcase of the UK Consumer Products Services division’s facilities and also discusses its role in helping to optimise the supply chain and sustainability of its customers.
