Local Exhaust Ventilation equipment has to be examined and tested by a competent person at a frequency which is determined by the nature of the hazardous substance specifically:
- when involved with Jute, Gold, Platinum - inspect monthly
- when associated with the grinding/abrasion of metals and shot
blasting - inspect every 6 months
- when associated with wood cutting, fumes or spray booths –
inspect every 12 months
